STUDIES ON MONDAY (under 35’s) & TUESDAY (over 35’s)

Young Adults Torah Group

The Young Adults Torah Study Group is just what it sounds like…a group of young adults who meet at St Martin’s Church, Bergvliet in Cape Town to study the parashot. (parasha singular)

No it’s not a sky diving class although it does contain a foretaste of heaven.

The parashot are the readings from the Torah that are set for the week and read in every synagogue as part of the annual reading cycle. Our study group considers the parashot in the light of rabbinic commentary and the teaching of the B’rit Hadashah (New Testament).
If you are in Cape Town and between the age of 18 and 35 why not join us for stimulating discussion on life, love, time and eternity and everything else besides.

We meet at St Martins Bergvliet,  Corner Children’s Way and Ladies Mile on a MONDAY night at 7:30-9pm.

Adult Torah Study Group

This is Torah Study for the over 35’s. Presumably, you know yourself and you know where you are going in life. That’s the benefit of being this side of 35!

The Torah (Genesis – Deuteronomy) gives great guidelines for life, love, family, work …and the universe. You will learn the basics for making good decisions and the principles that underlie the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament.

If you are interested in growing in your knowledge of God and your relationship with Him then this group will challenge and inspire you.

You don’t need a knowledge of Hebrew – just a desire to learn.

We meet at St Martins Bergvliet, Corner Children’s Way and Ladies Mile on a TUESDAY night at 7:30-9pm.
